The Warriors were back in action this Wednesday to take on the Peterborough Lakers.

After the first period, the Warriors trailed 4-2, and allowed the Lakers to dictate the game. For the last 40 minutes, however, the Warriors dominated. The defense and goaltending stifled the high-powered Lakers offence, and the Warriors would add 15 goals in the final two frames to take the win by a score of 17-7. Matt Cornish dominated with a ridiculous 8 goals and 1 assist, while Julian Mosier added a goal and 11 assists to his point total. Max McPherson added a hattrick while Adam Smellie potted 2 goals as well. The defence was outstanding in the game, and Liam Mathers added his first junior goal as well. Craig Johannson was a key piece to the Warriors win. The full boxscore can be found here.

The Warriors finally have a break with this weekend off, before taking on the Clarington Shamrox.

Whitby Warriors (5-6) @ Clarington Shamrox (6-3) – Monday, June 6 – Rickard Arena, 8pm
