In a tough Durham rivalry, the Warriors have battled with the Clarington Shamrox for the first 2 games of the OJCLL Eastern Conference semis. Both games have started out tight, with neither team gaining an inch. However, the Warriors have been able to hold off the Shamrox to take a 2-0 lead in the best of 5 series.

In game 1, the Warriors had a strong second period, and were able to rattle off 6 unanswered goals to take control of the game by a final score of 16-7. Matt Cornish was the star of the game, putting up a career best 8 points (4G, 4A) in the contest. Devin Gilligan continued his strong playoff performance from last year, and added another 6 points (4G, 2A) to his total. Connor Platt added a hattrick himself, and Matt Andersson added 5 points (1G, 4A) in the win. Zack Hubbard entered the game at the halfway point of the first period, and was stellar between the pipes. The full boxscore can be found here.

The Warriors then traveled to Rickard arena for game 2. This game was much closer, with both goalies and defenses controlling the pace. The Warriors were able to pull away in the 3rd period with 4 straight goals to end the game with a score of 9-5. Matt Shand was big on the score sheet in this one, grabbing a hattrick and adding 4 helpers. Mike Andersson put up a hattrick himself in his 4 point night.
