In Pursuit of Perfection

With two games remaining on the schedule, the Warriors have a chance to be one of three franchises to finish the season with an unblemished record. The Warriors have a home and an away game remaining.

On Wednesday, the Warriors hosted the Peterborough Lakers for the last game of their 4 game regular season series. A tight first quarter saw the Warriors up 5-4. However, the home team would dominate the rest of the way, and take the victory by a final score of 18-8. Matt Shand continued his push for the all-time point leader in Junior C with another 10 point game (3G, 7A). The Career point leader for the Warriors, Matt Andersson, added a big 8 points (5G, 3A) in his final home regular season game of his career. Another graduating player, Captain Chris McDonald, added an assist from the back end. David Cormack added 6 points (1G, 5A) and Matt Cornish put up a hattrick and added two helpers. The Warriors’ final game will be at Rickard, against the Clarington Shamrox, this Sunday, June 30th at 7pm.
