This past Friday, Whitby hosted the Huntsville Hawks in what would be a well-played game by both teams. After the Warriors went down early with a 6-3 deficit after the first period, they battled back and had the game all tied up with 1 minute left in regulation. A big defensive stand lead to a timeout for the Warriors with only one possession left in the game. With one second left on the clock, Keegan White scored the game winning goal, marking his 4th of the night (4G, 1A). Darren Elliott got his first goal of the season, and ended with 2 goals and 1 helper. Matt Andersson and Austin Tracogna each had 2 goals and 1 assist as well. Chris McDonald had the final goal along with an assist. Collecting the remaining assists were Wyatt Craik (3A), Connor Scott (2A), David Cormack (2A), Matt Abramczuk (1A), Liam Scott (1A), and Andrew Jaciuk (1A). Taylor Welsh had big game in net for the Warriors. The coaches are proud the team could grind out a tough win. For the full box score, click here.
